Hong Kong Milk Tea
Ingredients
- Lipton yellow label black tea
- Rickshaw black tea
- Alwazah ceylon tea
- Black & white evaporated milk
- Sugar
Recipe
- 60g tea blend
- 1200g water
- 1 can evaporated milk (354g)
Steps
- Bring water to a boil.
- Pour tea blend into tea bag.
- When water is boiling, do two tea pulls. The first pull will be into the empty pitcher. The second pull will be back into the tea pot.
- Brew the tea on medium-high heat for 10 minutes.
- Turn the heat to low, then four tea pulls. Loosen the leaves to encourage more extraction.
- Brew on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Prepare a warm cup and fill up 1/4 of the cup with evaporated milk.
- Fill the rest of the cup with tea.
- Add sugar to taste.
